Our Training Sessions

What to Expect

We come to your office, because we know training on your own equipment and files works best. Sessions are typically a maximum of 4 hours, unless a break is planned mid-day.

We install or upgrade your software, after confirming files are error free. Then we suggest you key in transactions to learn while producing results. Various confirmation reports are generated to confirm accurate entry.

We listen to your business’s specific needs and tailor the training to you. We meet you at your pace and learning curve, and ask for your feedback along the way. We recap what has been learned as we go. Our goal is to have you run your software independently, keeping us in mind for ongoing questions and Tech Support.

Follow-up support is available either on-site (minimum of 3 hours requested) or remotely. For remote sessions, we use Citrix GoToAssist, allowing us to screenshare or even take temporary control of your desktop to implement changes.

Tips for Getting the Most from Your Training Session

  • Set your priorities and call your Trainer to create an agenda together.
  • To focus your training goals, email us your agenda items in advance.
  • Mark up existing reports, invoice layouts, etc., to capture what you need.
  • Organize source documents such as timesheets, client expenses, report and invoice samples, checkbooks and bank statements for easy accessibility.
  • Choose a computer that two people can work on comfortably with full view of the screen. A maximum of 2 individuals (plus the trainer) works best to allow hands-on instruction by each of the trainees. Another option is a screen projection in a conference room, especially for demonstrating software.
  • Plan a time without interruption.
  • Budget some time to use your new skills soon after the training.
